Swen Equity is devoted to advancing health equity through supporting the progression of inclusive care practices in the health and social service sector. We support organizations to have an effective and actionable response to the experiences of marginalized staff, clients, and communities. The prioritization of inclusive care that improves holistic health outcomes through a culturally competent client-centered approach.
The Founder & Principal Consultant
Genelle Pollydore is an expert at developing and implementing equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies that enhance cultural competences, and enables inclusive care practices and inclusive work environments.
She obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Global Health and specialization in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, where she developed a comprehensive understanding of the holistic aspects of health and the social determinants of health. She became passionate about addressing the social determinants of health to promote holistic health and attain health equity. Her ambition led her to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Anti-Racist Research and Practice which expanded her knowledge on systemic oppression and its impact on health and social service systems.
Genelle is actively engaged in community initiatives, she supports to the following organizations:
